What’s Happening??

For the last 28 years, the Polk County Historical Association Museum has followed its mission to collect, preserve, and educate both the community and visitors about our colorful heritage.

To continue our mission, we need your help. The new year has presented us with an exciting opportunity: we will be moving in with the House of Flags Museum at 33 Gibson Street in Columbus.

As the House of Flags is the only museum of its kind in the United States, we believe that this move will enhance the visitor experience and become an important attraction for our community showcasing both museums!

The deadline for the move is March 31, 2025. To transport our artifacts, artwork, and genealogy materials, it will be necessary to hire a professional moving company. We will also be building and curating new exhibits. To accomplish this, we are embarking on a campaign to raise $100,000.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support our move and inquire about “Adopting an Artifact.” There will be a private opening event to honor your support.

ADOPT AN ARTIFACT

To help us raise funds for the move we are hosting an Adopt an Artifact fundraiser.
